Founded in 1947, HROTC is your trusted, community-based resource for canine training in Hampton Roads. As an AKC-affiliated nonprofit club, we offer high-quality instruction at a fraction of the cost of private training schools—because our mission is education, not profit.

Our classes are for dogs of all ages and owners of all experience levels. They include introductory puppy training all the way through advanced training. You can take classes just for learning and fun, or you can take classes to prepare you for AKC titles like Rally, Obedience and Scent Work. We also prep and test for Star Puppy, Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog Titles.

Affordable Pricing Thanks to our nonprofit model, our classes are less expensive than for-profit training. Compare and you’ll see! If you join our club you’ll pay only $35 for training classes.

Small Class Sizes—we limit all our classes to 6 or less.
